The purpose of this programme is to:

  • Raise adults’ literacy and numeracy skills,
  • Increase opportunities for adults to engage in literacy and numeracy learning, particularly for those in low-skilled employment,
  • to help learners progress onto further study and employment.

Lifeskills qualifications are approved and listed on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQA). NZQA is the government body that oversees quality assurance for New Zealand qualifications.

Can I use this qualification to progress into further study?

All programmes will either lead to further study or apprenticeship or employment opportunities.
